Marco save as .mac.txt

I am working on GP 2013. When creating a macro and saving it as .mac the file gets save automatically as .mac.txt, then I have to send it to the file server and rename it to .mac and then transfer it back to GP 2013 before I can execute the macro.

Can anyone please assist me as this is quite time consuming.

Your assistance herewith will be highly appreciated, thanks Mike E

Assuming you are recording the macro from GP, the File Type drop-down is set to All Files which should automatically allow the .mac extension to be appended to the file without issues.

What I assume you are talking about is saving the macro from Notepad. If that's the case, you will need to set the File Type drop-down to All Files, so Notepad can save it with a .mac extension only.
