Why can't we use Virtual tables with Power Pages

In the link below you can find that the following is mentioned 'PowerApp Portals aren't supported with Virtual Tables in current preview.'.

Does anybody know why do we have this limitation? Is this specific to Business Central?

    Thanks, for your reply, I went trough the link. What exactly should I be looking at in it? So, I guess we can't utilize virtual tables. Then, what is the best way to display/modify time sensitive data from Business Central through Power Pages?
