Item card Template

Dear All,

I wonder if anyone has any ideas. One of my customers has just started creating Item card templates and he can save them and view the Item card template list. But as soon as he goes to create a new item card the template list doesn't appear. It just opens up a blank item card page.

I have checked that it isn't a permission thing as I logged onto their instance with super permissions and I can replicate the same issue.

I have reviewed inventory setup and cannot see anything for Item card templates.

They are currently running v21.4, but I have had the sandbox updated to v21.5 and I still get the same issue.

Tested on the Cronus company on their instance and it works perfectly using the exact same credentials.  So compared the inventory setup screen and checked permissions are exactly the same. But I'm stuck as to now what I am going differently.

Any help gratefully received.

Kind regards,

Kelly

To be clear, are they clicking this sequence in the Item:

    Hi!

Have the customer used Configuration Template or Item Template? If the customer have created one Item Template it will be used by default when creating a new Item. But if the customer have created two or more he should get the list to choose from. This does not work with Configuration Templates so please make sure the customer uses Item Templates.

    Check the following two things:

    1. Inventory Setup Page - verify the name of the item number series

    pastedimage1679327617536v1.png

    2. No. Series Page - ensure the number series from step 1 has the Default Nos. checked as yes

If the Inventory Setup Page doesn't have an item number series, or if this number series doesn't have the Default Nos. set to true, the templates will not appear automatically when creating a new item.

    Dear Valentin,

Thank you that worked perfectly, it was because they had ticked the manual no's and not the defaults and that is why it wasn't automatically giving you the item template automatically. Customer said that was fine and then would add the item no and the description and apply the template.

    Kind regards,

    Kelly

Thank you Jo for your reply, we used this as a workaround.

    Kind regards,

    Kelly
