Deleted a vendor by mistake

I have accidentally deleted and vendor and need to get it back as it has transactions in the current financial year. How do I retrieve a deleted vendor from dynamics 365 Business Central?

Hello good morning
You have some options to recover the vendor data, if you have enabled the change log: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/across-log-changes#about-the-change-log , you could see the data by fields that have been deleted.
You could also restore a backup to a date/time where you had the vendor information https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/tenant-admin-center-backup-restore , get their data and import it or enter it again.

As far as I know, there is no way. If you enable Change Log, you can see when it was deleted, but it cannot be restored.

Of course, you can also consider restoring the environment, but I don't recommend it.

However, even if you delete the Vendor.
The posted data is still there, and you can manually recreate the vendor.

How did you managed to delete a vendor master with transactions, system show error if you try to delete.

Even if you recreate the vendor, how system will map that vendor no. to posted transactions, cause your posted transaction now will be showing vendor as blank value.
