Can someone please tell me what versions of Dynamics GP will support SQL Server 2012 and the estimated support time-frame for each GP version?

Thanks!

As yet no version supports it.

I'd assume that Dynamics GP 2013 will but that is some time from release; I believe a Microsoftie made a similar comment here a short time ago in response to a similar question.

    Hi Todd,

Thanks for using the forums. We haven't heard the official word yet regarding SQL 2012. Our ony recommendation is to continue to check the System Requirements page as it will be updated as soon as we hear from Development when they have finished their testing.

According to a post this morning on Customer Source (blogs.msdn.com/.../preparing-for-microsoft-sql-server-2012-and-microsoft-dynamics-gp.aspx) SQL Server 2012 is supported with the addition of the latest available hot fix.  Looks like most of the modules (except Analysis Cubes) are now supported as well.

    Hi All,

That is correct. Today we updated our System Requirements page for SQL 2012. Only GP 2010 will be supported with the use of SQL 2012 not GP 10.

Hi, Jonathan. I'm new to this forum so my next questions may be trivial to some, but:

Who are you referring to as "we" and where can I find these "System Requirements"?

    Thanks.

    Hi Todd,

'We' refers to Microsoft. As technical support engineers we assist with providing information to customers on this forum. Here is the link to the System Requirements page for GP 2010:

    Hi Todd,

Jonathan is a Microsoft support engineer, so I would take 'we' to be Microsoft in his post.  System Requirements are available for each GP version, listing compatible hardware and software, as well as recommendations for server specifications.  Here is a link to the system requirements for GP 2010: mbs.microsoft.com/.../mdgp2010_system_requirements.htm
