D365 Field Service: Book resource from Schedule board

Hi,

I'm trying to book resource for a work order from the schedule board. upon search, resources are displayed on the board. When I click on "Create resource booking -Work order number' side panel, it says "When searching for availability, you must first select a resource or a date range prior to booking". And when I select the resource, side panel is collapsed without selecting the resource record.

The only option i see in the schedule board to book is directly from the calendar view.

Am I doing anything wrong here?

    Hello Nithya,

    I believe you first click on FIND AVAILIBILITY and then Book. If you don’t want to receive that message, follow the steps in below:

    1. On the schedule board, from Unscheduled Work Orders view, just select the record that you are interested to book.
    2. Then click on Book.
    3. Once you clicked on Book, the “Create Resource Booking” panel appears.
    4. On the “Create Resource Booking” panel select the Resource and click on Book.
    5. The WO will be assigned to the resource.

    However, let me also have a brief explanation about Find Availability.

    The Find Availability helps users to find the Available Resources based on the filters that can be applied on the left side panel.

    So, if you click on Find Availability, the system goes to find the available resources based on your filters and based on the availability of the resources. In fact, your second screenshot shows Carlos Grilo is available from 11:30 to 16 and from 16:30 to 21, so you can book and assign your work order to him in one of these time intervals.
