Hi

We are in SaaS BC 18.3

We have created many stockkeeping units by mistake. Now we need to delete them all (we need to keep some but delete the majority of them).

What is the best method to delete them all at once? These are method that I have tried:

1) I tried to use "Select More" then delete which only delete the first one.

2) Using Configuration Package. I took out table 5700 then deleted all the lines that I did not need. Then selected "Delete Table Records Before Processing" and upload the package. But I got the following error for those parts that I needed to keep " You cannot change Unit Cost because there are one or more ledger entries for this SKU."

Thanks for your help

    MahGah,

If you have posted any transactions to the Item SKU, you cannot delete the SKU. This will restrict you from Delete Table Records before Processing. Since you have such a large volume to delete, I would consider asking your partner to help you write a one-time utility to delete those SKU's, from a spreadsheet, as long as they do not have postings.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hi Steve

Thanks for your help. For some reason I thought if we have Item Card then create SKU for specific location from Item Card we can delete the SKU. Can you please let me know if this is correct or not?

Based on info you provided I assume the only way is to ask our partner to design a page that we can access table 5700 and multiple delete from table 5700 ?

    Thanks

Try just Uploading excel on the package with only one line from an item whose unit cost is not impacting. This will let you delete all records and then you can import fresh records after that.

    Hi all

    Thank you for your help.

After trying the following (and failed) we ended up asking our partner to design a page that we can access the table and delete the records we do not need.

    1) Upload stock keeping with 1 item caused lots of inventory-location issue with items that we had in different locations.

    2) Cannot upload only stockkeeping items we need and delete rest because of "cost" issue
