Did you get anywhere with this compatibility issue? The dates seem to be slipping with next Update for CRM 2013.

Just apply latest Critical Update for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1 (KB 3173711).

This update contains new updates that improve compatibility with Office 2016.

If KB 3173711 was published in October, where in the [expletive deleted] is the WSUS update for this? If this is a "critical update", why the now 5 month delay?
This is unacceptable for a costly enterprise product, let alone a consumer product. Someone from the Dynamics team needs to answer this ASAP, as this is constantly an issue that only sees resolution when people start taking them to task for these discrepancies.
