Hi All,

I want deploy our own Business Central Extension app in the customer production online environment. , can you please provide answers for below questions.

1.  do i need  to deploy from Microsoft  app Source or we can deploy from our own by uploading extension option in Extension management page.

2.  is customer need any license for deploying app in their environment and also for customization app.

    Hi

    1) Answer to your first question,You can deploy the extension directly to the customer production environment by uploading the extension to the setup and extensions.

    2) Have you developed your extension app in the customer usable object range. I don't think so in that case customer need to pay for license.

    AppSource app has to be deployed ONLY through app source or you risk to break extension unicity paradigm. This is for SaaS environment.

    Docker based environment are just test environment and you could decide whatever you like. 

    With docker, you only have allowed only a small object range. Docker is intended for professional (partner) development hence it is required to use a partner license. 

    If you have an on-premise deployment, you must use partner license to deploy extension. This is not allowed by customer license since long time now (since the advent of extensions).
