Hi,

I have Created a Custom Hierarchy for my org.  in my Dynamics 2015 Online environment.
The structure is like:

6813.Capture.PNG

And i have enabled the Hierarchy Modelling like below.0537.Captur.PNG

Now for testing i have 2 users. I have assigned one to UK Head and the other to UK Retail.

Still UK Retail user can see the active accounts created by UK Head in the Active Accounts View.

Please help, what am i missing ?

Thanks for the quick help Rajkumar.

Though i have done all the configurations as mentioned in the Link you have provided (in fact i used the same link for that).

Actually the issue is, in the Active Account View will a user be able to see the records which are created by a user who is above that user?

Do i need some more configurations other than Hierarchy modelling to achieve the same?

Only "Views" are increasing, no further replies. Requesting CRM masters to please show interest and help me out.

You can create one custom view similar to active account view and configure hierarchy.

After this, if another user need to show this you need to share this view

    Thanks Rajkumar.

It will be a great help if you can give me any reference regarding the configuration of hierarchy on custom views .

    Girijesh,

For this, First you need to create one custom view similar to Active account view.

For configuring hierarchy you can refer the following links:

    Hello Girijesh,

If you have understanding of the hierarchical security then it should be clear to you that it is a solution for some of the requirement which is not possible implement using out of the box security configuration without custom development.

As you said your retails user can see the active accounts created by the person above him,   so it seems he is having more then user level access (unless those records are not shared with him). Hierarchical security is used to solve sharing information with the users who have user level access in business unit or data sharing with another business unit member, if your user already have access level more then that, Not sure what you are trying to implement using hierarchical security.

If you could share your users levels, their organizational hierarchy then we could be able to help you.

    Hope it will help.

    Rajkumar Rajaraman,

I don't understand what is the use of creating view here, Can you help me to understand how creating view will will help in implementing hierarchical security ??.

    HIMBAP,

Actually why I suggest this, Active Account View will list records for all users. So my opinion as to restrict this to create custom view similar to active account view and configure hierarchy.

    R.Rajkumar
