Is there a software app that can syncronize multiple CRM environments?

Is there any 3rd party software, such like Partner Portal, that could syncronize 2 separate CRM environments related to particular CRM entities?  I have a scenario where a parent company and a sister company want to have the same data on certain entities like account, contacts and opportunities on both of their CRM's. Any ideas other than an API?

    Hi Bryan,

    You have a couple choices.  The first one is custom code using the APIs.  The second choice is a 3rd party tool called scribe.  Scribe gives you a visual interface that you can create a synchronization between two crm organizations.  It has an interface to both crm 4 and 2011 so you don't have to  write any code.

    Thank you. I knew of those options. I was hoping that there may have been a UI that would show, for example, an opportunity screen of the shared fields between the two CRM's. At that point, a custom API or Scribe could do the backend integration. Wishfull thinking.
