Mandatory Dimension Code -- Sales Shipments?

Hi:
 
It is true that if you have /Mandatory Code/ set for a Dimension in the G/L account for Inventory, you're unable to post the Sales Invoice until you enter such a Dimension Value on that Invoice.
 
But, will a corresponding error appear as well if you choose to Ship rather than to Invoice?

    Yeah, an error will appear even if you ship rather than invoice without specifying the dimension code.

    Please take note that this will only happen if you turned on "Expected Cost Posting to G/L" as there will be entries posting to Inventory GL.

    Yes it is mandatory to choose the Dimension while posting the shipment if you set it up the dimension as mandatory.
