Hi,

I observed one thing in CRM, when an user upload a document from CRM and delete it from SharePoint, deleted document can be found in Recycle bin of SharePoint. But document deleted from CRM, cannot be found in the Recycle bin. Can anyone please help me on this - Why document deleted from CRM is not available in Recycle bin of SharePoint? Is there any setting for the same in CRM or SharePoint?

Regards,

Hardik Chauhan

    Hi,

Unfortunately we don't have Recycle bin option in CRM. The only way to recover is to restore DB back with the deleted documents

This is a very big issue. It bypasses the safety net of restoring deleted files from SharePoint. When will this be fixed?

    Hi Ricco536220,

This feature is not been in the MS pipeline yet. To restore the deleted files/data/records from the CRM you need to restore the your database only.

    Thanks,
    Manoj.

    Hi There Hardin,

Restoring the CRM database has nothing to do with it. The SharePoint Add-in/ integration with CRM means that files in SharePoint are deleted (in SharePoint) immediately and by-pass going to the SharePoint recycle bin. This is a bug with CRM’s SharePoint add-in/ the way that CRM integrates with SharePoint under the hood.
