Hi All,

Is it feasible to consolidate the raw material picking on the work order lines (WMS) so that it is grouped based on item number?

Example:.

I'm releaseing two production orders
WMS creates two production waves and add BOM Lines to them. is there a way to create one unique wave for the entire batch of released orders.

Most of the time we have raw materials that is generally being used accross the different production orders just like the example below:

Prod-00001 ------ Item A -------- 10 KG - Loc-101

Prod-00002 ------ Item A -------- 12 KG - Loc 101

Now when I process and release the waves, I wanted the system to create a single work order line for picking like this, instead of creating 1 work order line for production order.

Pick ------ Item A ------- 22 KG ---- Loc-101

Hi,

You can try to use system cluster picking

I have created a simple flow to show

1 - 2 raw material picking work for 2 different production orders

2- Work 1 for raw material picking

3 - Work 2 for same raw material but for different production order

4 - Mobile device menu item

5 - Login to mobile device and use the above menu to pick

Hi Angelo,

In addition to Sagar's solution, you can also select two or more production orders and release them to the warehouse together.

If you release multiple production orders at once, it should generate a single Work ID

Does the "System directed cluster picking" automatically consolidate picking work, or is the consolidation a manual activity to be previuosly done?

Hi Laurens,

even releasing the productions using the batch procedure you mentioned, I got two different works, one for each production order.
