SOP invoice settings

I have a "live" dynamics database and a "test" database.  the test database uses SOP invoicing.  if I copy the live database over to the test database will the test database retain the SOP invoicing settings?

basically I'm being asked to do this so the test database has some recent data.

    Hello Scott:

    You run the risk of overwriting the "test" setup by copying the live database over to the test database.

    The settings are stored in a table called SOP40100 and is just one row.  You may want to take a backup of that row or
    take a screen capture of the window from GP - it can be found under setup Sales Order Processing from the sales series.
