Hello
i have been trying to post an open store statement but when i do i get the following message:
expiration date must have a value in tracking specifications: Entry no= 1. It cannot be zero or empty
when i get to entry no1 line, there is an expiration date and lot no.
I can’t seem to solve it!
Hi Steven,
We have resolved this issues. Yes this item in my question has Item Tracking = LOT and you know we have another setup: Require Expiration Date = Yes in Item Tracking.
You know in my case, our customer has both transaction: sales and return sales with lot A. And in the system, they don't have any transaction with this lot A (e.g: purchase receipt, positive adj, ..) so the inventory on hand of lot A is zero!
So when they post open statement, the error is as my previous question!
So we give our customer solution that they need to increase the quantity of lot A (with expiration date of course), and try to post open statement again, and this problem has been solved.
Thank you so much for your support! :)
(I don't understand why I cannot input images in this answer? So sorry)
Thanks,
Hang
Hang,
The Item in question you have this Item Tracking = Lot and also they have Use Expiration Dates flagged on the Item Tracking Code Card. Have you tried to correct the Serial/Lot No. not Valid with an Item with an Expiration Date? You might need to make an Item Journal entry correcting this adding the Expiration Date back.
Thanks,
Steve
Hi friends,
My customer got the same error like Malak Aburas.
When my customer post the open statement, I got the same error.
But when I checked this statement, I navigated to Navigate > Statement > Serial/Lot No. Not Valid to check and fix, there's nothing here so I cannot check which error transaction and so I cannot select valid Lot. No. again.
Please help me with this issue! Thanks!

Malak,
You are using LS Retail. OK, on the Open Statement, click Navigate/Transactions. You need the Item List and locate which Item is Lot Tracked and missing an Expiration Date, since you have setup Expiration on the Item. When you find the Item you will have to correct the Lot so it has an Expiration Date. You will need to create a Negative Adjustment for the Item/Lot and bring it back in with the Lot an Expiration Date. Make sure the Expiration Date appears on the Item Tracking Lines so the User can enter it.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Steve
i cleared all invalid lots and serials and recalculated the statement but i still get the same message
Malak,
On your Open Store Statement (which by the way sound s like LS Retail), you should be able to see Transactions and Check Transactions, if you are on the Open Statement page. You should also be able to click Serial/Lot No. Not Valid to resolve the bad Item Lot. If you can send a pic of your page your are on it will help.
Thanks,
Steve
Hello
how can i find the item in question?
Malak,
The Item you are trying to post within your Store Statement, it requires an Expiration Date (setup on Lot/ Item card). Not seeing your screen you should be able to go to the Item in questions, go to the Item Tracking Line and on that page. Enter the Expiration Date shown in my example below.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Steve
