Posted on by 14

Our HQ in UK and they use Nav 2009 many years and we have subsidiaries in China and Vietnam too.
Our HQ want to deploy the Nav 2009 in China and Vietnam and share their licesne to us.
I want to know is it possibel to this?
Does Microsoft have a policy regarding HQ shared licensing?
Please help me, thank you very much!

Thanks for your reply, I know Nav2009 is old but HQ want to save cost, so I don't think they want to buy new software.
This is why I want to know the license policy....

As far as I know, this is not possible. You can consult Microsoft directly.
Our previous practice was to sell all to the head office, and then they rented it to the branch office within the group. This part of the cost was handled internally by them.

Also, NAV2009 has been out of support for many years, and I don't think it's possible to buy new licenses.

    Thanks.

I check this on line and see someone said:" This was permissible as long as the 'mother company', owned more than 50% of any of the companies below. It allow to sahre license to subsidiary."

    Is it ture or not?
Please tell me your basis, if any?
