Which reporting tool is best for NAV and why?

Hi All,
Hope everyone is safe and healthy,

I would like to get your opinion on which reporting tool is best for NAV. Currently we are using Jet Services for most of the reporting, but there are many limitation. We are exploring SSRS and PowerBI. In your experience what is the best tool and why?

    Hello,

    My experience is to use Jet Reports/Analytics and Power BI. Jet for financial reporting and Power BI for Dashboards, Management Reports, Sales, other areas. If needed, I can combine external data into Power BI too.

    Power BI is easy to learn and there are an immense amount of You Tube videos and recordings on Power BI.

    I think there is not a simple answer to that question. I think it depends on the business need, is it more an ad-hoc reporting or something which will return periodically. You can utile the build in functionality of RDL reports or maybe even simpler a word report layout. You can take Excel add-in for getting data into Excel or use a Query object with Odata to get data into Excel to put on a SharePoint and users can simply refresh data which can be shown in pivot and graphs. Or as you said use PowerBi to get data in a nice shape. So I would evaluate the needs and users preferences.
