Hello,
I have BC premium licences and also BC device licences
I created the  Dynamics 365 Business Central Device Users group in Azure AD, i have added users to the group. But when i import user from M365, i do not see any device user, i only see my premium users.
What else do i need to do to import the device users in BC, we have to assign permission.
Thanks
I have the same question (0)

    device license users should be able to imported into BC. Did you check if the license has been assigned correctly? in the partner center, you could view users and licenses, sometimes admin didn't fill out the region info correctly. Please compare a correct user setup with the one in question if there are differences.

    Hello

    With device license users they only get created in BC the first time they log in, on the device. Be sure to setup the permissions based on the security group - so that these users get the correct access you need them to have.

    If you need some device users to have different permisisons, just add the common permisisons to the Device group, and create additinal groups for the other user that need more permissions.

    When the user log in for the 1st time, the system will set the permisisons based on your setting appled to the sec group;

    You can also set permissions based on license type Create users according to licences - Business Central | Microsoft Learn

    but I dont like to use that as its a one time applicatioin of permissions (copies the setup direct to the user card), whereas the securty group approach defined permisions in a ongoing nature (works like inhereted permissions).

    Best
