We have a customer, who is running Business Central Online
Business Central is set up to send customer statements via email through Office 365, they send up to 700 statements each month.
When sending statements they run into a limit in O365, that they are not allowed to send more than 30 mails in a 60 second period, so the remaining emails get rejected (O365 mail account gets locked with the message "unusual send behaviour").
Are we overlooking a setting somewhere in Business Central of Office 365, or is this just a limit we have to live with?
Are there any way to overcome, or work around, this issue?
Hi, It seems that unless you are using Exchange Server, this limit cannot be exceeded.
It is recommended that you contact Microsoft directly to see what solutions they have.
Hope this helps as well.
Thanks.

Hi
You are correct about 30 emails per minute which is O365 limitation based on this article docs.microsoft.com/.../exchange-online-limits
When outbound message volumes surpass the message rate limit, any excess in message submission will be throttled and successively carried over to the following minutes. This will typically not block the sender's account, but Exchange Online isn't suited to accommodate bulk-mailing scenarios. For this use case, options 2 and 3 here are recommended instead.
You can find options 2 and 3 here docs.microsoft.com/.../how-to-set-up-a-multifunction-device-or-application-to-send-email-using-microsoft-365-or-office-365
