AppForbidden" error when opening a custom page in a Model-Driven App

Hello,
I’m experiencing a blocking issue when trying to open a custom (Canvas) page embedded in a Model-Driven App. Below are the key details:
  • Error message: AppForbidden
  • Full message: The user with object ID '9176acfc-b84***********' is not authorized to access this resource.
  • My role: System Administrator
  • My status: I am the creator (owner) of the custom page.
  • Context: The custom page is correctly added and published as part of a solution within the Model-Driven App.
  • Note: A colleague with a similar security role is able to access the page without issue.
Already verified:
  • My user has the System Administrator role assigned.
  • The page is correctly included in the solution and has been published.
  • I am the owner of the page.
  • Since custom pages in Model-Driven Apps cannot be explicitly shared, this does not seem to be a sharing issue.
➡️ Request:
Could you help me understand why I receive an AppForbidden error when trying to open the custom page, despite being the owner and having the System Administrator role? Are there any environment-specific settings or limitations that could be causing this?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards,
Milouda Mennani

The error suggests your user principal (object ID) lacks API permissions for the Power Apps API in Azure AD, even though you have System Administrator rights in Dynamics.
    1. Check Azure AD App Registration:
      • Go to Azure Portal > Azure Active Directory > App Registrations
      • Find the Power Platform/Canvas Apps registration (usually named "PowerApps-Advisor" or similar)
      • Verify your user has proper permissions under "API Permissions"
    2. Grant Admin Consent:
      • In the same App Registration, go to "API Permissions"
      • Click "Grant admin consent" if not already done
