Excellent - glad I could help.  There should be a "Did this answer help?" question to the right of any answer I suggested.  If you could click yes on this, it will close out the issue.

    Larry,

Maybe I am not understanding you right, but it sounded like if you apply the 1745 hotfix to the 1438 environment it works fine, but then you don't have the data you want to test on.  Is it possible for you to run the 1745 hotfix against 1438, back up the newly created 1745 database, and restore it into your Test environment?

The strange part is if I restore back to 1438 and restore the backup I need then apply the hotfix it works perfect.  The problem i'm having is i'm testing purchasing batches so when there all posted I have nothing else to post so I need to do the restore again and it from the 1438.

    Larry,

This one is going to be a bear to troubleshoot with out specific information on the errors you're receiving.  I would imagine the likely cause is you don't have the same products installed on Version 1745 you do on 1438.  Dynamics GP requires additional installation steps for features like Analytical Accounting and Fixed Assets, and if you're missing this application when you're restoring a backup from a previous version, you're doing what we used to call a forced upgrade, and GP is likely seeing tables it doesn't have the application utilities it needs to perform the upgrade.
