How to distinguish between a PR in review and a PR in approval on the main screen of PR

Is there any standard solution that exists allowing to istinguish between PR in review and in approval on the main screen of all PR in D365?

Hi,

Yes, you can distinguish the purchase requisition by applying a filter to the Status field.

Additionally, the two workspaces are available to distinguish the purchase requisitions.

Hello Burhan,

Thank you so much for the quick feedback and proposition.
However, I checked but even though the PR is in approval, on the main screen of PR, it is displayed as in review.
So it is difficult to know if the PR is really in review or in approval (not yet approved).

With the 2 options proposed, PR review showed all that are in review and the approved PR processing showed when it is approved.
But not in approval or still awaiting for approval in workflow.

PR in review:

When the client creates a PR, it goes to the procurement team where they accept the PR; add the vendor and price.
This process is called the in review process where it is being reviewed by the Procurement team and once completed, they complete their actions.

Once review actions is completed, the procurement submit the workflow for approval.
Where there can be different level of approbation.

However, when the PR is still going through the approval phase, the PR status still appears as "In review" in the main screen.

We want to be able to distinguish at the main screen, if the PR is still in real review or in approval.
A bit like the PO process where you have 2 status.

Hi Selina,

As you mentioned, there is no option for the Status "not in approval or still awaiting for approval in workflow."

System gives an option of Status "Draft", "In Review" and "Approved".

When the Workflow is submitted for approval, the status is "In Review" but there is no such information like awaiting approval is not available.
Moreover as Burhan mentioned we have separate form for 'Purchase requisition review" and "Approved Purchase requisition processing".
The reason behind "Approved Purchase requisition processing" form is because it is the case where the action is taken manually to convert PR to PO.

Hello,

As per my understanding, you might be using a line-level workflow, for example, Purchase Requisition Review along with Purchase Requisition Line Review. That could be the reason for this behavior.

Purchase requisition status
Draft : The purchase requisition and purchase requisition line have been created
In review : The purchase requisition lines have been submitted for review(Workflow)
Approved : The review process for a purchase requisition line has been completed, and the line is approved.

Hi @ST-29050813-0,

Currently, there is no option available in the Purchase Requisition master grid to directly display which PRs are "in Approval status".
The only way to verify whether a PR is under approval is by reviewing the Workflow history for each individual PR.

Alternatively, you can navigate to Common > Inquiries > Workflow > Workflow history, filter the document type to Purchase requisition, and review the records there. This inquiry allows you to identify PRs that are currently in Pending (approval) status.
