Yes, you can generate document via workflow, but it will attach into the entity's note.

I follow to create a document via first link you shared, does it support multi row content? i dont see it in the link.
in my case would be to show all the opportunities that link with the account. I want to show the opportunities in a table.

i tried to bulk generate document, but the button seems not available, anything i missed out?

For word document generation, you only can do it one at the time, if you want to do it in bulk, use workflow]
