Question: how can I know how many users are accessing CRM Online? Is there any function like "system status" monitoring within CRM Online?
Greatly appreciate for any advices.

Microsoft have introduced a dashboard to help monitor information like this. It is called Organization Insights and is available via AppSource. The following article contains a lot of useful information: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt763947.aspx. This is only available in the December Dynamics 365 release (8.2). It was available in the previous release, but only as a preview feature.
Alternatively, if you have auditing turned on for users, you can view the audit history for logging on, but that can be quite annoying if you have lots of users.
