I have an active business process flow on a sandbox instance of Dynamics 365 which should attach to the Phone Call entity. It has 2 stages with 2 fields associated with each and is collecting information about the next call. I have created and validated the BPF and made it active. However, when I create a new Phone Call the process doesn't appear - I can select it by using Switch Process but again it doesn't appear.
Other system BPF's are appearing - but it looks like 'custom' BPF's aren't working. Also, I notice that if I select the Enable Security roles - the dialog box simply shows a list of Security Roles without the ability to select which Roles will see the BPF.
Seems like a bug - anyone got any good ideas?
Peter.

Anytime you create a new Business Process Flow(BPF) you need to add it to your site map/Model Driven-App that you want to use it in. Once you do that and publish the model driven app, your custom BPFs will work as expected. Keep in mind that when you create a new BPF that it actually creates a new entity that is named the same as your BPF, and that entity is what you need to add to your Model Driven App. I have been doing this a long time and I regularly forget to do this.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for this. It helped me out as I couldn't see my 2 new BPF when on the App and only showed me the first one I created regardless of the order.
Try this if having the original issue above.
Thanks again,
Since you are dealing with a system entity, I recommend you to deactive the native BPF which could block the custom BPF you just created.
Let us know if that were the problem.
Adding the BPF to the app worked for me.
I had the same issue. My custom business process flow didn't appear under Customer Service-> Cases. I had to goto Settings->My Apps->Select Customer Service App. Click on ... and
Select Open in App Designer, Then in the designer select Business Process Flows and mark the business process flow(s) that're not marked. Then Save-> Publish
You should see the missing BPF now if you goto Customer Service->Cases and create a new case or open an existing case.
Please Can you explain me
I ran into this issue, but only using Chrome browser and was able to fix it by adding the BPF to the Sales app. Thanks!!
Hello Peter,
Hopefully you've managed to get this fixed by now as I've heard there is a patch released for online which should resolve most of the BPM issues, for those who the fix didn't work for and for those of you using on-premise installations I have written an article which covers whether you may be seeing the same issue I was and how to fix it.
Best I could tell, during migration some required fields in CRM and in the SQL database are not correctly populated, so I've created a script which will fix the issue and correctly apply values in the missing fields.
Hopefully this will help some of you - https://spandcrm.com/2017/06/26/dynamics-365-business-process-flow-doesnt-appear-on-records/
Thank you,
Shaun
Adding it to the App (i.e. Sales App) as suggested by Flavio does solve the issue.
Thanks for sharing Flavio.
