Business Process Flow not appearing

I have an active business process flow on a sandbox instance of Dynamics 365 which should attach to the Phone Call entity. It has 2 stages with 2 fields associated with each and is collecting information about the next call. I have created and validated the BPF and made it active. However, when I create a new Phone Call the process doesn't appear - I can select it by using Switch Process but again it doesn't appear.

Other system BPF's are appearing - but it looks like 'custom' BPF's aren't working. Also, I notice that if I select the Enable Security roles - the dialog box simply shows a list of Security Roles without the ability to select which Roles will see the BPF.

Seems like a bug - anyone got any good ideas?

    Hi Peter, Thanks for reaching out.

    Wow, this has changed quite a bit. I have not dug very deep until recently but I understand your confusion.

    So I have tested in this in my Dynamics 365 Online sandbox and it is working. I did not require any extra configuration when creating a custom BPF for the "phone Call" entity. Do you have multiple BPF for your phone call entity?

    As for security, when that list opens you can edit the security role instead of assigning the role. There is a new tab "Business Process" where you will see a list of business process to assign to each role.

    Check that you are system admin you should see the BPF when you create the phone call. If not share some more details or a screenshot of your BPF so we can troubleshoot further.

    Hi Tom,

    Thanks for your reply, the security role thing makes sense now - not v intuitive. I notice that Create and Delete were switched off but everything else set to Org access.

    So, still not working tho. I'm logged on as System Admin, there is only one BPF for the phone call and basically asks 3 questions (across 2 stages) for the next call - all custom fields.

    The BPF is active and selectable - just doesn't show up. Have even tried creating a new one with one question and that doesn't show up either.

    Can you try the following:

    Clear the cache

    Try opening CRM on IE

    Save as your BPF activate the new one and deactivate the previous one

    Click on new phone call from the list/grid view and not quick create

    Silly, but do check that the entity of your BPF is Phone Call

    Hello Peter

    Based on your business process I would say yes, a CRM does sound like a good option in running your business more efficient. A CRM allows you to keep a record of your customers' details and any interaction so it makes everything well organized.

    You may also want to look at the option of getting a CTI solution like Tenfold which integrates your existing phone and CRM. They also support MS Dynamics integration. Checkout these integrations at www.tenfold.com/integrations/dynamics

    The exact same thing is happening to me. I tried a save as on the existing ones but the my new ones still don't work.

    I've had issues in Firefox not showing the BPF for my Opportunity form.  It's like it has been collapsed but there is now way to bring it back in.

    It shows in Chrome/IE, but not FF.

    If I zoom the view to 300% I can see it! What the...

    Did you start seeing this issue after you upgraded to Dynamics 365 8.2 version ?

    We have few known issues with BPF not showing up which we have fixed now for Online orgs and for On-premise it will be fixed in UR1.

    Yes for me it is Dynamics 365 Online, 8.2.  How did you fix it?

     I guess your scenario is BPF shows up in IE/Chrome without issues. What I was talking about is BPF not showing up at all after upgrade in any browser which is fixed in UR1 update.

    In your scenario it is more browser specific issue , I would suggest you top try on a different machine too, to check the behavior.

    I am using D365 Online with Chrome but I also checked in Firefox.

    I've checked this morning in IE, Firefox and Chrome and they seem to be working now.
