10I am working to get the planning worksheet up and going to drive purchasing and planning. I have a part that has a known scrap factor of 50%. I have tried applying scrap on the routing step, BoM components, Top Level Item and on Component level items but I cannot seem to get the planning worksheet to show a need to double the purchase of the components. I want the planning worksheet to drive demand to buy more pieces and when we cut a production order to make double the pieces to account for the scrap as it is a long lead time and critical part. One particular part is consumed on 2 top level builds. I have the component set to Lot-for-Lot to combine both suggestions into a single suggestion. We owe 5 total pieces for this particular scenario, when I run planning worksheet it combines 2 orders into 1 suggestion, but it still only suggests order 5 pieces. Right now, buyers may know these parts and know to order more, but I want to remove the tribal knowledge and have system driven planning.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
