I'm an employee at an accounting firm and they have asked me to have a go at changing their marketing database from a number of excel spreadsheets in to Dynamics CRM. I have created a .csv with all the propective clients have been attempting to import them.
I have to import thousands of leads in to the marketing section but i want to keep the duplicates as some are head office contacts and some are just normal offices. At present I have 0 leads in the marketing section but when I import the data from the .csv file and check the data import log it says there have been a number of failures for the following reason, 'A record was not created or updated because a duplicate of the current record already exists.'
I went in to data duplication settings and unchecked the box for enabling data duplication during data import yet the problem still persists.
Why is this happening?
