Wanted: suitable time tracking app for a company based in the Netherlands

Good afternoon,

Can someone recommend a suitable time tracking app for our company, which is based in the Netherlands?
Note: We are looking for an external app, not a native Microsoft solution.

We help metal companies make their production smarter, faster, and more efficient; among other things, by using loading and unloading systems, robotization, and handling in sheet metal and metalworking, as well as laser cutting machines.

The following requirements must be met in any case:
  • the app must have a direct API connection with Business Central;
  • the data entered by employees must be eligible for approval by a supervisor;
  • not only working hours but also travel times must be recorded;
  • the nature of the work must be stated in a separate (comment) field;
  • hours must be totaled per employee and per project.

The number of users will initially be in the order of magnitude of 10, but can grow.

See also the screenshot in the attachment.

Regards,

    If you need, I can introduce you to our company's technical staff. Currently, our technical staff is located in the United States, and our company plans to open an office in the Netherlands soon.
    You can contact me if you are interested.

    Thanks.

    Hello Peter,
    based on your requirements in the attachment , I would not choose a “generic” time clock app unless the vendor can prove they have a real Business Central connector/API, because BC already has standard APIs for timeRegistrationEntries with employee, project/job, job task, quantity, date, status, etc., and approvals normally depend on submitted/approved status. For your case, I’d shortlist only apps that can post hours to BC per employee + project/job/task, support supervisor approval before export/sync, allow separate hour types such as working time and travel time, and include a free-text/comment field. For the Netherlands and a small starting group of 10 users, I’d ask vendors for a demo using your exact BC project/job setup before buying, because the “direct API connection” and approval flow are the key risks, not the mobile time entry screen.
