    Make sure the posting will generate VAT / TAX in the first place.
    Check the VAT Bus. Posting Group and the VAT Prod Posting Group fields (or the equivalent TAX fields) in the lines you are trying to post.
    If these fields are blank, no VAT / TAX entries will be created, not in prview, nor in the actual posting.
     
    On top of that, make sure to set the Posting Preview Type in General Ledger Setup to Extended.
     
    Given the fact that Posting Preview has been made available throughout most of the posting routines, you should be able to find VAT / TAX entries in the Posting preview.
     
    You will have to scroll down to the VAT entries section in order to see them though.

    The standard comes with VAT entries.

    If you want to customize the preview and add other entries, I suggest you look at this.
