How to Fix Incorrect Dates in Fiscal Periods?

Hello,

When creating a new Fiscal Period for 2011, somebody mistakenly put in 1/1/2012 and 11/1/2012 for the First and Last Day consecutively...We are not successful in fixing this. Whenever we are trying to change the First Day to 1/1/2011, we keep getting the error message "The date cannot be part of a different fiscal year".

I don't think 1/1/2011 is mentioned in any existing fiscal periods in this company...

Have anyone had this problem before? I know this is a user type error.. thanks in advanced for all your help!

    You mean creating a new Fiscal Year Elizabeth?  I tried replicating this behavior in my GP2010 test system and I was able to go in and change the beginning and end dates of a newly created year without issue.

    What version of GP?

    Yes for some reason we are not allowed to change the Start Date to 1/1/2011... it says  "The date cannot be part of a different fiscal year" even though 1/1/2011 is mentioned in any existing fiscal periods in this company...

    We are using GP 2010 SP 1.
