    Hi,

posting an inventory transaction adjustment/variance and stock count entry will affect your stock quantity, I hope this answers your main target [as you mentioned].

but I guess you need to learn more about inventory module. it might be helpful if you can read inventory manual and let me know which part there you do not understand. pointing your cursur in any field you can also press F1 the system will explain what is all about, it would be too hard for me put in the email everything about inventory.

    Hi,

" did you find a window Transaction>inventoory>stock schedule and stock count entry?

Yes i find the Transaction>inventory>stock schedule and stock count entry. What is the function by the way of this 2 functionalities.  will this 2 functions help adjusting the actual count of the inventory.

if you use stock adjustment entry, then you should input the difference of your stock count against what is in the system. Actually my main target here is to know where can i update the actual inventory. Maybe the user before dont know where to update it, that is why right now im the one handling the system which is im just also new using GP9. That is why im asking help sir, if there is someone who could help me the process to update our inventory.

     Thank you so much.

    Hi,

"we have 1000 recorded from the system then our actual count from the warehouse inventory is only 200 then we input 200 as the beginning stock" this is only achievable if you use the process of stock count I mentioned earlier. did you find a window Transaction>inventoory>stock schedule and stock count entry?

if you use stock adjustment entry, then you should input the difference of your stock count against what is in the system.

Re: Re: Re: Re: How to update the inventory

Yes sir. transaction was posted, actually this is what i notice. if i put (-5) for ex. then check from the inquiry, system update it and minus from the recorded item. but if i put (5) meaning its positive then it added from the stock. but our target is not like this, we want something like for ex. we have 1000 recorded from the system then our actual count from the warehouse inventory is only 200 then we input 200 as the beginning stock. so system must also update the stock to 200 if im not wrong. (correct me if im wrong) and that will be the beginning stock of the inventory. please help with this process of adjustment inventory stock, if there is another way.

By the way where can i find this Batch Recovery.

Sorry if i have so many questions. to be honest i am just new to GP9 and i want to be more familiar to the system. please help. By the way do you have a softcopy for troubleshooting of the inventory or anything. i would appreciate so much your help. our priority right now is to adjust the inventory to its actual count.

    Thank you so much.

Are you sure the transaction(s) actually posted?  Are they stuck in Batch Recovery perhaps?  If the transaction(s) posted, that would update your stock on hand in Item Transaction Inquiry.

Re: Re: How to update the inventory

=>Yes it was posted and we tried to check that also in transaction inquiry but adjustment to the item did not reflect.

Do you have any other options that we can follow so we can UPDATE our ACTUAL INVENTORY STOCK. because right now it has a big difference to the actual, system record 10 thousand plus but the actual is only 500 how can we update the stock to the actual inventory.

Re: How to update the inventory

    Hi,

the proper way to adjust inventory against your actual stocks is to perform stock count schedule, then stock count entry.

but anyway since you have posted stock transaction adjustment this should be ok. when you say nothing happens, please check the following:

    1. was the transaction posted?

    2. was it posted to the right item, warehouse etc.

    3. try perform reconcile inventory.

    4. go to item transaction inquiry and see if you can find your transaction adjustment
