Shipping TMS enabled items from Outbound Load Planning Workbench

Hello All,

I have a requirement to ship as TMS enabled item (non WMS enabled) from a WMS enabled warehouse.

I create a Load from the OLPW and release it to the warehouse to create a shipment, but I can't manage to generate a packing slip / BoL or Commercial Invoice.

System wont allow to pick from Sales Order line because there is a WMS Load and Shipment.  Any idea of how to pick the Load Lines if there is no work?

Thanks!
Danny

    Hi,

Have you tried posting the packing slip from the sales order? Please try below

1 - Create sales order for an item which is not enabled for advance warehouse management
2 - Create a load from load planning workbench
3 - Release load to warehouse > Shipment created
4 - Post packing slip from sales order
    5 - Perform rating
    6 - Confirm shipment
    7 - Generate BOL

What issue you are getting in posting packing slip?

    Hi Sagar,

From the Load, in order to have the "Generate - Packing Slip" option available, I also need to "Confirm Outbound Shipment"

Then, when I try to generate the packing slip from the Load, there are no lines to post:

The shipment is for several batch tracked items which are individual load lines. If I do not confirm the outbound shipment, I would normally need to pick from the sales line; when I try to do so i get this message:

    Here is my Sales line:

Are here are my 4 load lines, all for the same lot if but with different Batch numbers:

    Hi Danny,

I tried to replicate your scenario and it worked for me.

    1. Create sales order for an item which is not enabled for advance warehouse management
    2. On SO line level > Inventory > Batch Reservation
    3. Created a Load using Load planning workbench
    4. Assign a Rate to Load using rate route workbench
    5. Confirm the outbound shipment
    6. System doesn't allow to post a packing slip from load (empty lines)  hence i posted the same from Sales order form. Here you can reverse the packing slip as well if required. I didn't get any error and no need to pick the required batch because already been reserved.
    7. Making sure charges allocated on line level before posting the invoice.

    Thanks Sagar,
I was able to generate the packing slip. I was reserving batch from Inventory > Reservations rather than Inventory > Batch reservations.

Interesting that using batch reservations, one does not need to register a pick to generate the Packing Slip; system simply used the batches that were Reserved Physical and deducted correctly.

BOL and Commercial invoices did not generate correctly, but in my case these are non-standard SSRS reports so will have to address other ways.

     Thanks!
