Mandate Email Attachment based on Template Selected

Hi All,

We have a list of email templates defined and for few of them attachments are mandatory.

If user does not attach the file for selected templates then we need to prompt the user to attach the document or restrict the user to send email with out attachments.

Kindly let us know if we have any solution for this.

In Plugin can we check the name of 'Email Template' selected to apply this condition?

You mean that you are not adding the attachment to the actual template, but when a particular email template is selected, you want to force the user to add an attachment?

If that is the case, you might be able to create a Pre-Execute Step on the Send Message of the Email, and do the validation there. If the attachment is not added, you throw an exception from your Plugin telling the user that an attachment is required for the email to be sent.

Hi,

You can have a logic (plugin/script) on email which can check if current email have required attachments if not you can cancel send operation and show error message to user.
