Is there any way to filter the list of Web resources, fields, entities, etc while working with a solution?

Currently a custom solution of my CRM instance is having a lot of entities, under each entity there are nearly 170+ fields.

Apart from that there are nearly 250 web resources.

This makes it very difficult for me to find the web resource or field I want to view/ edit within the solution.

Is there any way where in we can filter the list or search within the list? For example, by providing few characters of field name, I should be able to see all matching fields, and similarly for Web resources.

Interested in knowing how people are managing a solution having significant number of custom components.

    Hi
There is not a support way. I usually export the solution in unmanaged status, after I extract the file in the zip. In the folder you have a subfolder called Webresources. Inside you have all webresource. For example I have this script inside:

    Formula_Placeholder_Controls_Script070243D5-CEEA-E111-AF0F-8000600FE800

I usually update the script, zip the file again and after I re-import the update.
I found only this way. BUT IT IS NOT A SUPPORT WAY...

    Thanks
    A.G.

    Hi Nirman,

If you find it difficult to page through the all the fields and web resources to search for the one you want.. there are couple of options to quickly find by scrolling through a single page.

    1. Metadata Browser - This comes with CRM sdk, and once you import that solution you will be able to look at all the entities and their fields in one place. It's a nice tool.

    Its located in - SDK\Tools\MetadataBrowser

    The MetadataBrowser tool screenshot:

    2. XRMToolBox - Third Party tool

This tool contains 'Script Finder' which gives you a list of all the scripts for each entity.

You can download it from here: https://github.com/MscrmTools/XrmToolBox

Hope this helps you to explore more.

    Thank you.

Are you on CRM online or on premise?

If you should be on prem and you should have access to the database, you should be able to search for all fields via sys.columns:
