Split function in Warehouse Management

Posted on by 5

Hey there,

we are using Warehouse Management with the Warehouse Management App.

Is there a function to split purchase order items in warehouse management, if the proposed storage location does not have enough capacity for the entire quantity?

If yes, which settings a required?

Many thanks!

    Hi RMagnet,

You can also consider to configure location stocking limits.

Path: Warehouse management > Setup > Warehouse > Location stocking limits

Another option is is the dimension configuration on the location profile

Path: Warehouse management > Setup > Warehouse > Location profiles

Dynamics can automatically advice another location when a location is full, which makes the put away process easier for the warehouse worker.

    Regards,

    Laurens

    Hello RMagnet,

How does the error read?  Does it say something like Location xxx not valid because it does not accept mixed items, mixed inventory status, mixed batch...?

    Hi RMagnet,

When putting away anything, there is usually an option for Split Put.  In my example below, the Mobile Device Menu Item used is 'Purchase Order Item Receiving and Put-awat'. When you slide the ball left, additional options are available.  The option you are looking for is 'Plit Put':

There is no additional configuration required.  As opposed to the 'Overide Loc' option which requires the Worker to be authorized to overide the Put location.
