Hello CRM Experts,

Is there a way in CRM to query /report on who and when changes or updates are made on the meta data (entities /Processes /creation/updates to forms/fields - Events etc.

Wondering if there is a place within CRM tables - all the above information is stored.

Thank you for your inputs.

Harihar

There is nothing built in CRM to track changes. If you want track changes to the meta data use Source control with  CRM developer Toolkit in Visual studio to track all the changes to the customization. This is the best way if you really want to track all the changes by  user and date.

As each solution is a separate CrmPackage it also provides in depth information of all the changes that happened over the period of time on solution as well.

there is nothing out of the box to do this.

Maybe you could find this data out looking at some CRM tables but this is a requirement I have never seen or seen anyone want.

even if you found the data, what if someone changed 10 fields at once and then saved it.

not to mention how would you record this information.

NO, I don't think you can do this and the effort would be massive

Thank you Ben and Chitra for sharing your ideas.

We will look into Source control option.
