Hello i'm currently trying to connect to our online dynamics 365 data using (vs2012 business tools SSDTBI_VS2012_x86_ENU) and the (CRM2016-Bids-ENU-i386) report authoring tool.  I create a data connection using the Microsoft Dynamic CRM Fetch option and then when i try and run my report i get the following error

2308.connectionerror.png

I'm not sure if im using the correct connection string url for the connection.  I'm using my O365 credentials ( i have admin rights on CRM and i can connect using PowerBi etc)

    Hi jrt1970,

Try changing the proxy settings on IE of the server.  May be tick "Bypass Proxy Server for Local Addresses".

Thanks Nadeeja, I've ticked bypass proxy server.

I've manage to pull back some simple account information in the BIDS environment

    Nitya,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, mine is a Dynamics CRM online subscription.

    Connectionstring should look like this?

    disco.crm4.dynamics.com;%orge5a5e0d7%

For me I had to update the Dynamics CRM Report Authoring Extension to the latest version to make anything work.

    Hi,

If your organization is in Dynamics 365 V9, your have to install the latest version of BIDSExtensions. This one for example https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56973

    and it will works.
