I have searched through similar issues related to this message and cannot find a suitable answer.

Most posts related to this error message state to go into GP Utilities and configure the "Manage Web Client SQL Server Login".

Well, when I do that, I receive an error message stating "The creation of the login failed for an unknown reason. Contact your SQL Server administrator for assistance."

I then researched that error (The never ending spiral of error after error it seems).  Every solution I find says to delete the user from company databases and the security section in SQL.  Not only have I done that, but I also attempted to create a random new login that I knew did not exist anywhere.  Big surprise.....I get the same error?!?!?!?!?

It creates the user in the DB, but still gives the error.  I can't get into GP Web client and no help anywhere on this issue........

    Hi Antonio

check out Ian Grieve's  book about the GP 2016 Web client (not much changes compared to 2015).. publishing.azurecurve.co.uk/implementing-the-microsoft-dynamics-gp-web-client

Check out also his blog post about setting up the GP Web Client on a single machine :

Can I ask - can the user access GP Application from a Desktop installation of GP?

If so then when you go to the Administration >> User create window, bring up the user and when you select the user, click on the Web Client link - from there have you selected the correct Active Directory User?  This could be the problem - or not.

Let us know.  PS - I would have to research more, but Beat has given you a great go to research point in Ian's book.
