Hello,

I want to capture lead from web form, is there any article or tutorial to explain how does this work?

I know there is some paid addons to do this task but i want to develop my own solution. I want then to undestand the involved mechanisms (authentication, web service).

Thanks

If you are using CRM Online there is actually a free feature for this allready implemented. Look under sales area.

Then you need to leverage the SDK to accomplish your goal. The SDK contains a number of example code pieces.

    www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

I dont know of any blog etc that has a free "example lead web form", so I cant guide you  to such.

    Amine,

There are several ISVs that have web form to CRM soutions, ours is one of them. They will work with your Onpremise system, however, a connection through the firewall must be available to make that connection. Contrary to popular belief, it does not have to be in IFD mode.

We have a document on our website that explains how to do this via IIS.

And if you want you, we have a free 7 day trial of our Web2CRM advanced Internet lead capture solution.

    Hi Amine,

Here is a blog describing the process using the SDK.

    www.powerobjects.com/.../web-site-to-crm-generate-leads-from-your-web-site

PowerObjects also has a stand-alone add-on that does this $1 per user per month.  You can try it for 30 days free.

    Good luck!

    Thank your for your replies,

The solution explained here www.powerobjects.com/.../web-site-to-crm-generate-leads-from-your-web-site is a .Net Client. But I want to use my existing php web site with just some customizations.

Do I need to build an intermediate webservice wich acces to the CRM?

Whatever add-on or code you decide to go with, make sure that you do not rely solely on the CRM Web Service call to secure your web lead. CRM Services get depreciated, URL’s get changed, and entities get customized. Just make sure your primary storage is something simple and is complete before you thread a call to the CRM Web services.

In addition, here is the power of Pinpoint. Checkout the URL below and it should give you a list of the most relevant CRM Web Lead Capture addons from Microsoft's own directory.
