Hi murali101,
You can migrate data from Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 using SSIS and the KingswaySoft SSIS Integration Toolkit for Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Replied to you other thread. Here is the response specific to data migration-
1) Excel Data Import - This is the easiest if you have less than 100000 records. This is a limit for this
2) Scribe - This would be again easiest as this is all configuration and a non developer can do the migration. This will work with large data sets. This is a paid tool.
3) Kingsway Soft SSIS: This will also work with large data sets. But a litle tricky than SSIS and requires some basic understanding of SSIS.
4) Custom Code: At last you could build your own tool to migrate data using SDK.
Hope this helps.
Hi Ravi,
what about data migration utility application that comes with the crm sdk.can we use this for data migration from crm 2011 onpremis to crm d365 onpremis
hi Adrian Begovich
can we use data migration utility application for migrating data from crm onpremis 2011 to crm d365 onpremis.
You can use this but its very slow if you have large data sets. I remember I tried around 5K record with it (basically all the suburb name) and it took around 2 hours just for this. This Config migration tool is mainly for configuration/ reference/master data and not suitable for transnational data
thank you ravi :)
