GP limits this field to 30 characters and we need 100 to 150 characters per GL distribution line. How have you handled this situation? This is required on the AP GL Distribution (per GL line), to flow through to the GL, and the field would be available on reports and inquiries. We have done some extender work, but it doesn’t touch each and every area, like reversing entries, deferral entries, etc. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, there is no option to increase the standard field length in GP. Extender is one good option to capture additional details (or) you will have to build customizations on all the fields where you have distribution reference to capture the additional information in a more user friendly manner.
