Assembly parts list - import XLM or Excel

Posted on by 5

Hi Guys

I would like to import an existing list (XLM or Excel) for the item BOM. So that I do not have to transcribe all articles individually.
Does anyone of you know how this works?

Thanks for your help!

    Jan,

Are you trying to create both the Assembly Components via an Excel list? If yes, I would consider using a Rapid Start package that you fill out the Template and you import so it creates all the Assembly BOM's. It would look like this:

If think about how you enter an Assembly BOM manually you will populate the fields you normally would in the template (Excel). Make sure you enter the Parent Item No. as the Item that is the Assembly Item.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve
