FRx Error - Please Help

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

I've installed FRx on the server, along with SP10 and was able to configure the production company and Set as Default with no problems.  Now I suddenly can't get in and I'm getting the following two errors when I try to set the company as default:

First Error

Error 91  Object variable or With Block variable not set

(This error occurred while populating the frl_entity table in the GLX database)

After clicking OK on that error I get the following message:

Second Error

FRx Professional  FRx Engine Failed to create GL Index file

This is an new installation.

Any ideas?  I've looked in the knowledgebase and Binged this, as well, to no avail.

Kind regards,

Todd M Bowlsby

Have you run the SBI Script (which comes with SP)?

    Rotash:

Just tried that per your suggestion and it did not make a difference.  Thanks for the suggestion, though.

What version are you on?  Have you upgraded to SP 10 yet?  (Sorry, didn't read closely, you are on SP 10)

If not, I reccomend doing so.  Every time I see "Error 91" that is the first thing I think of.

What is your configuration like?  Shared sysdata?  Clients installed pointing to the shared sysdata?  Citrix of Terminal Server? Does the user have access to the I/O

The failure to build the G/L Index means that it coudl not update the *.G32 File (in the sysdaya directory), which holds a list of what your GL accounts look like.  It basically looks for differences when you add a new GL account, compares one of the GL tables in SQl to the .G32 file.

You can delete these G32 files and then next time you log into a company, it will build a new one.

the frl_entity table is in the G32 file (which is basically an access database)

It contains columns like account length, account mask, max segments

Try renaming that file as ***.G32.old, so you don't delete it, and try to let it rebuild one for you when you log on.

So the second message is caused by the first one.

    Kay:

Thanks for the responses; I appreciate it.

I finally figured this issue out last night (this morning) at 3:00 AM PST!  It turns out the GL40200 table holds the COA Segment values.  There was an invalid segment value in that table.  I had to delete that value and all is well!

    Take care,
