Hi, can you please elaborate what is meaning by "The issue is that this closing is  generated by the system in reversible mode at that date, which blocks the conversion process." , it will help to understand further. and if possible please share the screenshot for inventory closing page.

On my side, I launched the Inventory closing on 09/06/25. The system executed the closing on 09/07/25

Standard Cost conversion : Inventory closing
    Hi,

Thanks for the information, you are telling inventory closing transaction date = 09/06/2025 but execution happens on 09/06/2025. It is normal case to get inventory execution a day later, but inventory closing voucher should get posted on 09/06/2025 only. Can you please confirm this?

and regarding the standard cost conversion, hope you are performing on trial/standard envronment, so can you try to do the standard cost conversion on 09/09/2025 [just to validate whether system is understanding the inventory closing date as 09/06/2025 or 09/07/2025.]

Standard Cost conversion : Inventory closing
    Hi ISSAMB,

I'm not able to understand if and what differences you have between this environment and a standard environment where it works correctly. I have used this process a few times long time ago without issues.
What exact parameters were provided for the inventory closing? You mentioned that the Reverse option is disabled?
Was the conversion process started before and now rerun to continue after e.g. an interruption?

The closing transaction date is set to 09/06/2025,  execution date on 09/07/2025.

Regardless of the execution date entered, the system informs me that the transactions are closed on that date.

I performed several tests with different dates, and the result remains the same

Do you also get the error when converting the standard cost one day later? Can you also respond to the question about a comparison with standard environments?

Yes, I was getting the same error message regardless of the date. However, I just realized that a production order in Released status was blocking the conversion.
The error message was not very clear, as it was pointing to the closing. Once I finalized the production order, the conversion went through successfully. Thank you.

    Hi @ISSAMB,

Thank you for giving the confirmation that your issue is resolved after ending the production order.

Yesterday i was reading the related articles in order to find the root cause, i found below resources:

This article [although external] explicitly says:

    > All product receipts must be invoiced.

    > All production orders with statuses like “Started” or “Reported as Finished” must be ended.

These conditions are presented as key conversion prerequisites.

From standard document also, it was hinting towards closure of all open items as per old valuation method and then do the conversion with new valuation method which is Standard costing.

Since the error was misleading, it was difficult to guess the missing setup/data, glad to know that alteast the issue is now identified. A good learning for us that we should check all the recommended checkpoints from standard MS articles 😊

    Regards,
    Neeraj Kumar
