Automatically create Order when closing an Opportunity as WON

Hi,

Can I make MS Dynamics automatically create an order every time I close an opportunity as won?

The opportunity has the right contact and the products associated.

Hi Andreas,

Supported feature - You can create a new quote -> Add the related opportunity and customer -> Click on 'Get Products' from the ribbon. This will add all the products from your opportunity. -> Save -> Activate Quote -> 'Create Order' can now be seen on the ribbon.

Customization - You can generate a sales order from an opportunity or you can generate the sales order products from the opportunity products. The link shared by Aileen still works.

With Dynamics V9, there is also xrm.webapi.Execute. You could use this in your javascript to execute the generate salesorder request from opportunity. I haven't tried this yet.

Hy Aileen,

i'm pretty new to MS Dynamics 365 for Sales and have the same requirement from my customer to create a sales order based on an opportunity. Is it now still the same procedure in Dynamics 365 to go over a cusatomization - or is it a meanwhile supported feature to create a sales order based on a opportunity?

Ya..you can.

You can create workflow triggered by opportunity changed status (but this if you only want to create order form without any associated product)

If you want to have all the product based on the associated products from opportunity then you need to create a plugin when opportunity won and use this request to create the order
