Showing portal case records in Approval Manager login

Hi All,

I am using PowerApps portals(Customer Self Service portal). Using CRM Views linked with Entity Lists

I am submitting case by selecting Approval Manager lookup value as different contact.

I want to see that record if I login with Approval Manager login in portal.

How can I achieve this functionality

Hi partner,

Dose "Approval Manager" a custom lookup filed on your case form in portal? And you want to see all the cases when you login portal with the approval manager?

If so, you need to check the following steps.

1.Check if the web role of your approval manager has the entity permission to case entity.

2.Check which case view are you using in portal and if the filter condition limits the display of cases.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes I do have a Approval Manager custom field for lookup

I have selected Contact who is having System Admin role as Approval Manager. But still I can't see the records to approve in Approval Manager login. Checked the views also I am using correct views.

Don't know what went wrong.

Sorry I missed some permissions.

I have rechecked my entity permissions to case entity. I missed some permissions and gave permissions and it is working fine.

Hi Leo,

I have quick question.

I have given entity permission for case entity. Now I could see all the cases for submitter and approval manager(Same records for both)

Suppose

1. I want to show case records to Submitter only submitted by him.

2. For Approval Manager I want to show records submitted by him and submitted by others for Approval

Can I able to achieve this with only single entity list or do I need to have separate entity lists to achieve this.

Hi Babu,

1.If you want to only show records which approval manager equals the current login user, you could go to Portals->Entity List and go to Filter Conditions session under General tab, select approval manager field in "portal user attribute".

2.You could try to set the entity permission scope "self" for common approval and "parent" for approval manager.
