Data Archive with Long Term Retention

Hi All,

In Data Archive workspace, it is based on functional scenarios, let's said I would to archive Tax Transaction for certain. Is that meant that after archived is done for certain month, the TaxTrans information will be missing for invoices for that particular month?

I found this, for tax transactions, the archival can only occur for fiscal years and after year-end-close process has been completed.

Hi Teh,

I'm not sure what exact invoices you are referring to. Is it about sales, purchase, project, or all of them? Once you archive the tax transactions, then reprinting of sales invoices will miss information. The data provider for the sales invoice is using the TaxTrans table.

As mentioned by Anton, you can only archive transactions once a fiscal year is closed. Apart from that, you need to check in your country if there are any additional requirements to keep data in a live environment for a minimum number of years. Also check for yourself, for what period back in time you want to be able to have operations fully functioning.
In case you have a separate invoice archive, then you might not need the tax transactions.
