How to edit Page ID in Business Central?

Hi Community,

I would like to find out in BC, if I want to change this page id, Account Schedule (25) to a customized Page ID, how should I go about it?

In Dynamics Nav, I was able to go to Object Designer and edit it, however, in BC there is no object designer to edit. Or is there?

Thank you !

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,
    Why would You want to do that?
    In BC You cannot edit standard objects. You can make extensions to them, to add new fields/buttons.
    If You want it to be with different ID, you can create a copy of this page via development and give an ID that You want - but the Name should be different. When adding the extension, you will be able to use the new page. So this way You are just adding un-needed object duplicates which seems like bad practice.

    Hi,

    In Dynamics 365 Business Central, there is no longer an “Object Designer” as there was in Dynamics NAV.
    Instead, customization is handled through extensions using the AL Language in Visual Studio Code (VS Code).

    If you want to replace Page ID 25 entirely with a new custom page, you need to create a new custom page rather than extending the existing one:

    page 50101 MyCustomAccountSchedule
    {
        PageType = List;
        ApplicationArea = All;
        SourceTable = "G/L Account";
        // Design your page
    }

    Regards
    Sam

    Thanks for your reply.

    I'm not changing it, I just saw one of this page which doesn't contain the right page, and I was curious how it got changed by my predecessor.

    Cheers.
