Hi,

I was wondering whether there is a way of filtering or grouping Vendors by Vendor type. so, supplier that provide transport services to be under one group...

Nothing out of the box.

You could use vendor posting group to separate different kinds of vendors.

Another option available in the standard system is the Statistics group. But that is an integer field with out any related table so you will have to remember what each integer value means.

Hello,

When my customers ask for the ability to group or filter by Vendor Types, I offer them 3 solutions:

1. Create Vendor Posting Groups that define Vendor Types (though all point to the same GL Accounts in setup)

2. Purchaser Code can be Vendor Types, if you don't need this field for Purchasers

3. Our Account No. is also a field not many utilize
